A fantastic team effort in very windy conditions gave us that winning feeling again at the final siren, and although Romsey won the toss and elected to kick with the wind, our determination and persistence throughout the four quarters showed that we are becoming more and more focused each time we put on the RED & BLUE.

Our defence stood strong and it is pleasing to see Zack, Taylor and Andrew reading the play and being present at the contest each time they were put under pressure.

Tommy played an inspirational captains game on the ball allowing our midfield to be on attack for most of the game giving Jared, Bailey and Brad plenty of opportunity to feed the forward line helping set up multiple goal scorers, the most exciting of all being Josh in his return game from injury, GREAT STUFF JOSH.

The BURRAS theme song sounds awesome when it is shouted out by such an enthusiastic group of young men and young lady; you just have to be there for the experience, I am sure we are going to hear more of it.

Congratulations to you all, stay focused and fired up Burras.

Coaches Comments:

After 4 quarters of hard fought football by both teams, we managed to put a score on the board that was good enough to give us our first win for the season.

With an excitement level equal to that of an AFL grand final side, we tuned up our vocal chords to the Burra theme song, while leaving the ground to the cheers of proud parents and spectators.

Recovering from an accident at the start of the season saw Brandon get his chance to wear the RED & BLUE and his run through the midfield with Tommy and Dton gave our forwards plenty of opportunity to have shots at goal.

Giving Chris a run at full forward was a good decision as he did not disappoint kicking 3 majors and Corey, Jimmy and Darian all contributed with singles.

We continue to improve in all areas of our game as individuals and a team and we congratulate them all on such an excellent performance.

Well done BURRAS.
